Knutsford vs Cheadle

The final of the Acton Plate was a two-day affair due to some heavy rain. The singles rubbers were one sided with dominant displays from Ben Mckie (Knutsford) and Laura Begot (Cheadle), levelling the tie at 1-1. Doubles specialists George Raiswell & Harvey Mottram (Mens Doubles) and Kathryn Barnett & Vikki Garner (Ladies Doubles) cruised through their replayed doubles matches dropping only 5 games in total across both matches to give Knutsford the win. The mixed doubles was a close match with the Cheadle pair coming through. An overall tie score of 3-2 with Knutsford winning the Acton Plate for the first time in the club’s history. A fantastic achievement, well done to everyone who played throughout the competition.
